Formulation of FARMACTIVE Powdered Silver Spray (Spray with Colloid Silver and Hyaluronic Acid Sodic Salt)

  1. Combination of Colloidal Silver with Hyaluronic Acid in powdered spray formulation reduces bacterial load (bioburden) and protects wounds from further contamination and prevents spread of infection to deeper tissues.
  2. Combination of Colloidal Silver with Hyaluronic Acid in powdered spray formulation also rapidly heals wounds compared to any other existing available products.
  3. In Spray Formulation, both these agents (Hyaluronic Acid & Colloidal Silver) mediate production of the antimicrobial peptide beta defenses by keratinocytes.
  4. Hyaluronic acid creates a moist environment for optimal tissue repair based on its high-water binding capacity and together with colloidal silver it prevents additional microbial contamination.
  5. Hyaluronic acid with Silver regulates well tolerated cell adhesion, growth and migration.
  6. In one Phase 4 Clinical Data, No Relapse occurred by 6 months after the end of the study with no sign of infections during the observation period.

Colloidal Silver

Release of Ag+ ions :

  1. Colloidal silver is made up of tiny particles of metallic silver (Ag+) and has antibacterial properties to prevent microbic contamination of the dressing.
  2. The particles are complete and do not combine with other elements. Otherwise, silver is highly reactive with other elements in its ionic form and will readily combine to form compounds.
  3. Broad spectrum of antimicrobial activity, including antibiotic-resistant bacteria and fungi.

Hyaluronic Acid

Creates a moist environment for optimal tissue repair based on its high water-binding capacity.

  1. Regulates cell adhesion, growth and migration. Moreover, It is an anionic, Polysaccharide distributed widely throughout connective, epithelial and neural tissues.
  2. It also helps in cellular motion and reduces healing times. Increases keratinocyte and fibroblast proliferation and promotes
    angiogenesis.
  3. Well-established activity supported by experimental and clinical studies.
  4. Mediates production of the antimicrobial peptide beta-defensin2 by wound keratinocytes.
